General
Albany Medical Center was a gem of a program. Albany, NY may not be the most desirable place to live, but the program was excellent. The attendings were knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. The training was good with enough trauma for training, but not so much it became overwhelming. Lots of pathology.
Food
The cafeteria had pretty good food options for a hospital.
Vibe
My co-residents were amazing. I also enjoyed the classical music playing on the bridge connecting the parking garage to the hospital. It was a nice calming way to begin and end your shift.
I'd strongly recommend the program.
